EWCC Home & Lifestyle Show 2014

The EWCC Welcomes New Member: Elizabeth Davis of Simple Health

It's been a long winter so far, with most of us hunkering down trying to be safe and warm, still business rolls on.

The EWCC had our January board meeting last week.

Here are a couple of highlights we have been working on.

First: We adopted and ratified our mandate.

To work with the Town of Erin to improve policies and processes when dealing with local business issues. Development charges, site plan approvals and permits topped the list of issues to be reviewed.

The goal: To improve the Town of Erin's customer service towards local businesses.

We are planning our steps toward fulfilling our mandate. If you have suggestions or would like to participate please let us know.

Second: We are finalizing our calendar of events. You will receive that schedule in early February. We are planning to bring you some interesting speakers and some business events so stay tuned.

The Most Pressing Event is the 2014 Erin Home & Lifestyle Show.

Here is an important letter from Home Show co-ordinator Patricia Kastanek:

Dear East Wellington Chamber of Commerce Members:

Preparations for the 10th Annual Erin Home & Lifestyle Show are well underway and EWCC organizers are inviting all members to participate in the show this year.
We are offering Chamber members some great incentives this year: Save 50% on the cost of your first booth! That means you pay only $65-$75 for your booth (depending on electrical requirements & HST included) rather than the regular rates of $130-$150.
Early Bird Registration: Chamber members have the opportunity to sign up now before the rush begins. Our media campaign will get underway shortly and booths will then start to fill up fast.
And this year you can register and pay quickly and easily online click here

The Erin Home & Lifestyle Show takes place Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the Erin Community Centre 2000 Arena, 14 Boland Drive, Erin. It runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and typically draws 600-800 visitors for the one-day event. The show's reach goes far beyond Erin's borders. Our research reveals that visitors come from throughout Wellington County and as far away as Toronto, Mississauga and Brampton.

Don't miss this very affordable opportunity to showcase your products or services and show visitors how easy it is to Buy Local!

For more information, please contact Patricia Kastanek at 519-855-6683 or e-mail

See you at the show!
