The Town of Erin Congratulates the East Wellington Chamber of Commerce for a Job Well done!
Just when it looked like the 9th Annual Town of Erin Spring Home & Lifestyle Show was going to be cancelled, the East Wellington Chamber of Commerce stepped up to the plate and agreed to take over the management of the show. And we were delighted to do it, the challenge...we only had 3 months to learn what to do and get organized to do it. Fortunately for the EWCC, Patricia Kastenak who had been a primary Home Show organizer for 8 years previously with the Economic Development Committee of Erin, agreed to help us. Patricia, who is now an EWCC board member, made the difference in the success of the show. In the end...on Saturday, April 27, the vendor booths were sold out and we had over 600 visitors come through over only a 5 hour span of time.
Here are some of the highlights:
- Andrew Welch, the Town Crier opened the 9th Annual Town of Erin Spring Home and Lifestyle Show, with EWCC chair David Netherton.
- It seemed the whole town was out to see us on a glorious spring day.
- Mix 88.1 was there covering the Home Show
- The following businesses were vendors: click Home Show booths
- Door prizes were generously donated by 42 vendors
- Gift Bags were given out to the first 200 visitors

ROTARY CLUB HOLDS CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT
The fifth annual Rotary Club of Erin golf tournament is on June 13th, starting 1:30 pm at Erin Heights Golf Club. This golf tournament is the club’s primary fundraising event for the year. Proceeds from the tournament fund Rotary Club of Erin charitable donations both locally and internationally. This year’s tournament includes thirteen holes of golf, plus dinner at David’s Restaurant and a live auction all for only $85.00. You can also join us for dinner ($30.00).
Local businesses can sponsor the tournament for $50.00. The Rotary Club is also seeking businesses who are interested in selling a product or service to the club – at cost - for the Live Auction. Please contact Susan Maycock (smaycock@live.com) for tickets, or to make a donation.

Welcome Wagon Back in Erin/Hillsburgh!
Lesley Royle has recently launched her Erin & Hillsburgh chapter of Welcome Wagon, and will soon be visiting local residents who are new to the community, getting married, or expecting a child. Welcome Wagon visits homes providing Civic, Community & Business information. Lesley will be encouraging newcomers to shop locally, and will also feature sponsor businesses during her visit.
Each sponsor business is added to the local Welcome Wagon directory, and can provide a gift and invitation for Lesley to share during her visits. Each business sponsor is personally recommended. Location information, hours, services, & special features are provided.
Welcome Wagon provides reports and invoices, and you only pay for visits made. The rate per visit for business ranges from $3 to $5.25.
